YKC Obedience Training Day

Our April training will be ideal for those who are competing in Obedience to improve their skills. This will be an advanced class where Mary Ray will be demonstrating and tutoring members on how they can develop their dogs training.  Places are limited so make sure you book early.

Event Information

The obedience training day will take place during on Saturday 6th April 2019 and is open to all members aged 6-24 years. This session is ideal for members who compete in obedience or for those who wish to start competing very soon. This training day is not suitable for learning general pet obedience, and will assume you have the basics covered.

Training for the day will cost £25  (12 spaces available)

The training will be held in an indoor training school with a nonslip floor – warm clothes maybe needed in case of cold weather. Please note that lunch will not be provided so you will need to bring food/drinks with you to this event. There will be tea and coffee facilities available.

If the member is under 18 years of age then one accompanying parent/guardian must also attend at no charge. Dogs MUST be 6 months of age or over to attend a Obedience training day.

Programme

9:00 - Registration

Mary will be tailoring her course to suit the members attending, she will assess where members are confident and where things can be improved and help each member get the most from their dog.

5.00 pm - Programme End

Trainer

The training day will be hosted by Mary Ray.  Mary has been competing at the highest level in obedience for many years and has been winner of the Crufts Obedience Championships many times. Mary has qualified or won every major British dog agility competition and is the leading authority on Freestyle and Heelwork to Music. Mary has featured on British television on a regular basis and has instructed and/or judged throughout the world.
