Flyball competitions involve two teams of handlers and their dogs racing against each other, so you can make new friends, enjoy time with your dog and compete. Take a look at the Young Kennel Club Flyball rules before taking part in any competitions, so you are fully prepared to take part.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the rules for YKC competitions or click on the above button.
Each team is made up of four handlers and dogs plus two reserves, and team members must be aged between 6-17 years (one handler can be aged 18-24 yrs). If you and your friends know some ball mad dogs, get them together to make your own flyball team!
The two highest placed teams from each heat will be invited to compete in the final at Crufts.
Most training clubs make up their own flyball teams, you can find local training clubs here. Weekly training clubs are also a great way to socialise your dog ready for competing.
COVID-19 has affected all of the YKC's qualifiers in 2020 (for Crufts 2021). We dont know when we'll be able to have qualifiers running again, so until we know more, we have removed the qualification documents and qualifier dates from our site.
Please stay safe during this time
