YKC Newark Activity Weekend

Where?

Newark and Nottingham Showground

When?

October/November 2011 (Dates to be Confirmed)

What Can I Do?

This weekend is not to be missed in 2011 with training throughout the three days and Crufts qualifying competitions held on Sunday which is one of the last chances to qualify in 2011.  Remember that you don’t need any experience in any of the activities to attend with your dog as our training covers all needs, from absolute beginners to our regular attendees, and you can attend with any KC registered dog so there’s no reason to miss out! Plus a chance to take part in evening activities including a disco on Saturday night.

How Do I Enter?

Entry forms will be available mid 2011

You can find the full rules for each competition under the competing section of the website.

Does My Dog Need To Be Registered?

The Young Kennel Club welcomes all dogs as long as they are on a Kennel Club register, you can find out more on the different registers here.

Our Handling qualifier at this event is open to dogs on the Activity Register and Neutered Males only.

Once members have qualified in the handling class for dfs Crufts 2011 at a YKC Activity Weekend they are no longer allowed to enter the qualifying classes at the other YKC Activity Weekends.

Can I Bring An Unentered Dog?

Yes, you will need to declare this on your application form and then we will give you an exit pass for your dog/s.

Can I Attend On All Three Days?

Yes you can attend as much or as little as you want, including the social evenings!

The Showground is a flat site with 6 acres of buildings, 61 stables, 3 horse rings each with a collecting ring plus 3 warm up rings and a further 10 small animal rings.
