Volunteering

Most members would agree that the more you become involved and put into the Young Kennel Club, the larger the rewards.

There are tons of way you can become involved in the dog world through volunteering your services once you are an older YKC member

Volunteers

The YKC is always looking for senior members who have experience in Judging or Training aswell as Camp Team Leaders, Crufts & Discover Dogs Ring Party and Stand Staff for Crufts each year.  If you would like to volunteer your services email the YKC office, ring 020 7518 1030 or fill out a Senior Member volunteer form. If you are interested in helping out within the Young Kennel Club we recommend you apply to attend the Outward Bound course, forms are released to all members aged 18 years and above in the middle of the year.

If you are an ex-member or can train in any of the disciplines then you can fill out an ex-member volunteer form to offer your services at Young Kennel Club Events.

Stewarding

Stewarding is a great way to support the sport and also gives you an opportunity to observe the action close up. It’s a good way to learn some handling techniques, ring procedures, regulations, and the finer points of competition.  If you are interested in Stewarding email the YKC office or ring 020 7518 1030.
