Volunteer Your Services

The Young Kennel Club is always looking for volunteers and are working on creating a database of names, made up from current and former Young Kennel Club and Kennel Club Junior Organisation members so that they can be called upon to help at future YKC events.

The database aims to detail all members’ individual experience within the dog world so that when the YKC or another club requires people to help at events, they are able to assist and make sure they find the right person for the job. The new database will help to ensure that there will be someone on hand with the right experience and ability in every area.

Work Experience

We are offer work experience summer placements for YKC members. Placements are unpaid and can last anything from a few days to four weeks. The aim of the Kennel Club work experience scheme is to offer YKC members the opportunity to experience an office environment, and gain basic administration skills. During your placement, you will also learn more about what the Kennel Club does and be able to make some good contacts for the future. Email jobs@thekennelclub.org.uk for more information on future openings.
