The Young Kennel Club is always interested to hear if you have been actively involved in any political matters or fundraising in the world of dogs.
Below is an example of the brilliant work our members have been undertaking.
“Each year I fund raise for local animal charities by playing the flute in the run up to Christmas in a local garden centre. In December I raised money for PACT Animal Rescue Centre in Norfolk but I also promoted the YKC at the same time! Here is a photo of me raising funds and publicising the YKC. I raised about £100 including some additional money given to me during the year, to add to my collection. I would just like to say thank you to the YKC for sending me your information to display and to promote the YKC” – Charlotte Dady
If you are involved in fundraising and would like us to send you out some YKC literature for any of your events, please contact the YKC office or call 020 7518 1030.
Members can also be nominated for the Shaun McAlpine Outstanding Young Person Award for Young Kennel Club members who have accomplished something fantastic in the dog world.
The Shaun McAlpine Outstanding Young Person Award has been introduced by the Young Kennel Club to acknowledge the achievements and promote a positive image of young people within the dog world. The Kennel Club wants to recognise and celebrate its young dog enthusiasts and the award will be presented annually at Crufts to a young person who has achieved something outstanding within the dog world.
The Kennel Club has a dedicated Public Affairs team committed to campaigning and lobbying across the UK and Europe for canine issues as the voice of dog owners.
