Careers With Dogs Day -25 October 2010

Dream about working with dogs? Not sure about your chosen career path yet? Then this could be the day for you to find out!

The Kennel Club is offering YKC members the chance to attend it’s popular Careers with Dogs day at it’s London head office.  The day will give members the opportunity to attend talks and speak with professionals within a range of dog related careers.  YKC members between the ages of 14-24 years are eligible to attend.  This will be an educational day for all members attending for you to find out more about various dog careers, which will consist of short talks and time to visit each organisation’s stand/area.

“I took part in a Dog Photography, Dog Grooming and a Dog Behaviour lecture. I was particularly interested in Photography and Paul Keevil, who gave the lecture, helped start my photography "thing". He took me two other YKC members to Discover Dogs 2008 to be press photographers for the Kennel Club. I am now a journalist for my college magazine and I am working on pushing my career forward. I also benefited greatly from the grooming and behaviour class and in September I am starting a distance learning Dog Behaviour and Psychology Course and I am on the waiting list for an Introductory Dog Grooming Course.  I would recommend everyone who is interested in the canine industry to take part in a career day, and I owe a lot to the people who helped me start my career choices” Lupe Van Der Stigchel
