National Training Camp - Your questions answered

Your questions answered

What do parents do?
As far as parents are concerned, action packed and energetic or chilled out and laid back – it’s entirely up to you! As with all shows we cannot run National Camp without the help of everyone on site. If you are happy to give up some of your time during the week then we have a selection of volunteering roles!

What happens if it rains?
British summertime is very unpredictable; you may experience sun, rain or wind! The trick is to come prepared for everything! Check out our camper’s checklist.

Can I hire a caravan?
No we do not hold lists of companies that hire out caravans in the area or local Bed and Breakfasts.  We only organise the accommodation on site. If you are hiring a caravan, please be aware that all caravans at YKC events must carry a fire extinguisher to BSI or FOC standards.

Do I need to provide my own food?
Food is not included in the price, meals and snacks can be purchased from a catering van onsite or you can take advantage of our daily shoppers who go offsite everyday to shop for small items.

Can I go offsite?
Parents are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children. It is important to know where your children are at all times and if you do wish to leave the site you must take your child/children with you.
