What Can I Do?
The Young Kennel Club is delighted to announce that we will once again be holding Crufts 2013 qualifying competitions in Handling, Grooming & Obedience at Manchester Dog Show Society.
If you have been training and feel ready to start competing then this is the perfect place to have a go and begin your year of competing plus the chance to meet your fellow YKC members.
How Do I Enter?
Entry forms are available at the bottom of the page.
You can find the full rules for each competition under the competing section of the website.
Does My Dog Need To Be Registered?
The Young Kennel Club welcomes all dogs as long as they are on a Kennel Club register, you can find out more on the different registers here.
Our Handling qualifier at this event is open to dogs on all of the registers.
Can I Bring An Unentered Dog?
Yes, you will need to declare this on your application form and then we will give you an exit pass for your dog/s.
How Do I Get There?

Showground Opens: 7.00am
Directions to Showground: Positioned in the heart of England, the Showground is easily accessible by road.
By Road
From the South
M5, M6. Exit M6 motorway at junction 14. Follow A518 and signposts for Stafford Showground.
M1, M6. Exit at junction 14 and follow signs for Stafford Showground and A518.
From the North
The M6 is a major route for those travelling from the north. Exit at junction 14, as above.
M1, via Derby A38, A50, A518. (The Showground is located on the A518)

Where Can I Stay?
A wide selection of accommodation is available within easy reach of the Showground. For a detailed list please contact Stafford Tourist Information Centre (Tel: 01785 619 619).
What Facilities Are Available?
You will need to bring your own lunch, there may also be a catering facilities located at the Showground.

How Will I Know If I Have A Place?
Places are limited for these competitions but it is unlikely that you will not get a place.
What Happens Now?
Once you have filled out and sent back your entry forms you will receive a confirmation email. Shortly before the show you will receive your final information which includes your ring card and any passes you may need.
About Manchester Dog Show Society
Manchester Dog Show Society was founded in 1861 and predates even the Kennel Club. From the beginning, the Society has been known for its innovative ideas and this remains true today.
The Young Kennel Club are pleased to hold a qualifying weekend at this show, particularly as the Manchester Dog Show President is also the Young Kennel Club's very own Chairman!
