WHAT DOG ACTIVITIES DO YOU TAKE PART IN?

YKC Handling, YKC Pastoral Stakes & Breed Showing

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A YKC MEMBER?

I remember the YKC originally being the KCJO but am not sure how many years I have been a member (we have checked and Lorna has been a member since 2000)

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU OWN?

I own three dogs - two Briards who are mother & daughter and one Border Collie. Hopefully it will be four dogs soon as I have just bred from one of the Briards.

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN/COMPETED WITH IN YOUR DISCIPLINE(S)?

Briards, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, German Shepherds, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas, King Charles Spaniels, Rough Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs & many more. I mainly compete with my Briards in the YKC classes.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT DOGS?

My favourite thing would have to be knowing that my dogs are always there for me when I need a cuddle or just want to be around them. With Dakota, it's the fact that she can always make me laugh & she loves people laughing.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN THE YKC?

It would be at Blackpool Champ Show 2009 when my Briard bitch won the Pastoral Stakes, Best Working & Pastoral Stakes & Reserve Best YKC Stakes over the three days.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE YKC?

How many new people you get to meet that all enjoy going to dog shows, it's a great way to meet new friends.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YKC MEMBERS NEW TO THE WORLD OF DOGS?

Just have fun and don't take it too seriously, in the end you know you always take the best dog home.

HOW HAS YOUR DOG MADE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY LIFE?

Dogs have allowed us to travel to many new places & meet a variety of people at dog shows - all as mad as us!

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

I am a Briard Breed Specialist Judge & am currently the youngest person to have passed the Briard Breed Judges Assessment
