At home we have six dogs, all Irish Red and White Setters

I have shown many breeds in Showing and Handling, these include: Irish Red and White Setters, Australian Shepherds, Rough collies, Boxers, Irish wolf hounds, Scottish Deerhound, Beagle, American Cocker, Cocker Spaniel, Parson Russell terrier, Border Terrier, Tibetan Spaniel, Tibetan Terrier, Alaskan Malamute, Golden Retriever, Flat coated Retriever, Irish Terrier, Dalmatian, Pointer, German Shorthaired Pointer, Field spaniel, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bernese Mountain Dog, Belgian Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, Whippet, Gordon Setter, Irish setter, Kooikerhondje, Welsh Springer Spaniel plus more

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT DOGS?

My favourite thing is you can cuddle up with your dogs whenever you like.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN THE YKC?

Winning YKC handling at Crufts two years on the trot, but also the Outward Bound Courses.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE YKC?

The way you get to meet new people all the time and make new friends, also all the activities you can take part in and get help from other people.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YKC MEMBERS NEW TO THE WORLD OF DOGS?

Always enjoy what you’re taking part in, and try and go to the training weekends to practice and learn new things and meet new people

HOW HAS YOUR DOG MADE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY LIFE?

Dogs have allowed us to meet new people and visit new places.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

I like to steward at show when I'm not working and I also show other peoples dogs in breed classes.
