YKC CAMP 2009

Welcome to my first camp blog!! My Name is Lisa Moir, I am a senior member with the YKC, and this will be my 4th camp as a team leader. I have been showing German Spitz for the last 17years, and have been a YKC member all that time. I have had a lot of fun and success in the showring, and I am currently campaigning Libbi, and Christie a black male Mittel spitz. We are just back from the Eurodog show in Dublin where we had some fab results!

I am really excited about camp this year and the fun challenges we will be taking part in. For those of you not having been to camp before its nothing at all to worry about. The training sessions are brilliant, and will give you great practice and experience with your 4-legged friends, across all disciplines. I first came to camp as a team leader in 2005, and I was a bit anxious, but everyone was so nice and welcoming I really had nothing to worry about, and I made loads of 2-legged friends, whom I am still in touch with now.

The highlight of my previous camps has to be making the friends I have and taking part in fun activities together, like performing at talent night. Camp is a very busy week, but it is a whole lot of fun too. To get the most out of it you need to get involved and take part, no point in being shy!!
