Gin & Ice would like to introduce you all to their new little brother “Twist” (not really any relation!). Twist came to join the family in October as a tiny 8 week old puppy and he is a Jack Russell cross Miniature Poodle. He is very cute and mischievous but is starting to learn the basics.

Canine Freestyle Competitions

Ice was recently entered into her first ever Canine Freestyle competition at Stoneleigh Warwickshire.

In mid August I celebrated my 18th Birthday and true to form I celebrated it at the British Flyball Championships. What could be better than 2 days camping with dogs, 2 days Flyball racing and 2 nights partying?

BUSY SUMMER

On Monday 24th August we have been invited to open a new stray unit at North Clwyd Animal Rescue centre near St Asaph North Wales. We are privileged to help promote the tremendous work done by this rescue centre and others like it up and down the country

Butlins Fun

I am so sad at the death of Michael Jackson a true legend and superstar, he inspired the world with his amazing musical and dance talents He will live forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten. RIP Michael but please keep on moon-walking and singing in the heavens The Memorial Service was so moving and emotional but young Shaheen was incredible. Way to go Shaheen and may the legend live on in you!

TRAINING GIN

Like many YKC members I owned my very own dog “Gin” at a young age. I was 9 years old but took my responsibility very seriously. We attended puppy socialisation classes and pet obedience classes but Gin was rather a wild child and proved a bit of a challenge to train.

She found it difficult to concentrate for very long and would run off when she was supposed to be staying or go and play with the other dogs when doing a recall. We persevered and practised and eventually managed to pass the Gold Good Citizen award.
