International Junior Handling final, dfs Crufts 2010.

Following the Agria Junior handling final held at Discover dogs in November, the UK representative is to compete in the International Junior Handling final, held on the Sunday of dfs Crufts. After winning in November, I completely forgot that that representative was going to be me!

Busy Summer!

After a rather busy summer, I managed to get my act in gear for a spot of practising for the semi-finals this weekend held at Richmond Champshow, for the Junior Handler of the year. Handlers can qualify for this event by being placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at any show which states that it is a qualifier, throughout the year.

European Show at Dublin

I returned from the European Show at Dublin yesterday. Unfortunately, I wasn't placed, but the experience itself was amazing :) The day started out with breakfast at our hotel, a short driving distance away from the venue.

Training Day

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have a session with my trainer Felicity Freer (Filly) with a dog I  may be using in Dublin next Monday. I borrowed Roo (a nova scotia duck toller retriever) who Filly shows on a regular basis and his owner was kind enough to bring down for a practise.

Introducing Georgina

Hello, and welcome to my blog, allow me to introduce myself; my name is Georgina Ferguson and I am seventeen years old.

Discover Dogs

Discover dogs held at Earls Court in London, not only hosts many displays for the public, but also supports the Junior Handler of the year final. All 14 winners from the semi finals, held at Richmond champ show in September competed against each other under judge Paul Eardley. I was the one of the last competitors to arrive at the show, and was delighted to receive many good luck cards from my fellow handlers :) Danielle had brought Dante from Andover for me to borrow, although I hadn't seen him since Richmond!
