So that’s it, Crufts is over for another year! Where did those 4 days go!

Today there were two agility events in the YKC Ring, Medium ABC Agility and the Team Agility. At 9am the YKC Ring kicked off with the Medium ABC Agility, the sun glared onto the ring making it light up like a stadium! Kate Howard set up a well equipped course allowing the dogs to show their best ability. All competitors did really well and congratulations to you all for getting there. Adam Wildman came 1st with his crossbreed, Zoom, in an astonishing time of 18.99, with Alice Moodie not far behind in 2nd place.

Team AgilityNext up was the team agility which is always a great crowd pleaser as the teams looked great in their team colours! The overall winners were ‘The Big Undies’ consisting of Carrie Ellwood, Steven Richardson, Darren Merry, Sarah Richardson and Mark Merry, winning the title for the 3rd year running! They are certainly the team to beat! Congratualtions!

The YKC Ring spectators came in their thousands over the 4 days and although it isn’t the biggest ring, it’s so full of activities that the sides of the ring are constantly brimming with onlookers. It’s great to see new faces and dogs and congrats to all of you that qualified this year.

Once the agility events finished, Mum and I headed to the Main Arena to watch the Agility Championship. There’s nothing better than seeing Agility at its best! The atmosphere in the main arena was electric! The Royal Marines kicked of the evening with an amazing performance, if I can work out how to upload videos onto here I’ll show you (If not you should be able to watch it online). The Agility Champs were fantastic with Toni Dawkins taking the ticket for both Large AND Medium and Nicola Garrett taking the Small title.

Crufts was great this year, I really enjoyed it! I always enjoy the atmosphere, you really can’t beat it. Commentating was nerve-wracking but it really wasn’t too bad!  Must try harder to qualify next year!

So all those dogs in 4 days and all I want to do is go home and see my 5 pooches! Got a 3 and a half hour drive back to Sussex first though, zzzz! ROLL ON NEXT YEAR!!
