So Day One at Crufts 2009 is complete…what a day! My feet are killing me, shouldn’t have worn the high heels today!

Had a great day in the YKC Ring, seen lots of new faces and new dogs! The first agility event was the YKC Agility Dog of the Year which was great fun to watch. It was great to see members from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales competing against other. The top 3 from each category qualified for the final in the main ring at 5 o’clock! I’ve been there before and the wait from the semi-final to the final is torture!! I know how you’re feeling guys!

The second agility event was the Senior Agility. This was a class for handlers aged between 19-24. This was also mine and Ant’s first commentary event and I’m pleased to say it went really well. We didn’t make any mistakes and are looking forward to the Small Agility tomorrow!!

“Oh cor blimey! Pat Butcher off Eastenders just walked in and has sat 2 rows in front of me!” Will try and get a picture!

I’m sitting here in the main area seating area waiting for the YKC Agility Dog of the Year Final to start. The starting credits start to roll on the big screen for the evening performance…my old boy Barney appears 3 times! It’s so lovely to see him running! Daniel Croxford just had a cracking round, setting the standard for all the others!!

Sorry, I couldn’t type and watch it was far too exciting. The results ended up 1st – Anthony Clarke with Blazing Red, 2nd – Tom Paterson with Rosmarinus Rum Twister and 3rd Katie Long with Rugrat Red. An amazing final with the top 3 running last all with hundredth’s of a second between them. Ant even got his own spotlight on the lap of honour!!

Now off to walk back to the hotel, jeans and slippers time I think!

Blog ya tomorrow!

Ooh I almost forgot…Pat Butcher!
