I have been a member for almost a year

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU OWN?

I have one gorgeous looking Beagle called Lacey

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN/COMPETED WITH IN YOUR DISCIPLINE(S)?

I have shown Beagles in Handling & am hoping to qualify for Showing & Agility in the next few years. I also hope to compete with a Dachshund cross Jack Russell in Agility too

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT DOGS?

The dogs calm me down a lot as I do tend to get stressed & have some anger problems. My little Lacey gives me cuddles when I cry or am upset, this is why I love her so much. She knows what mood i'm in all the time & cheers me up by being silly.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN THE YKC?

The first time I went to the Activity Weekend in Newark, I absolutely loved it & realised I wanted to do Agility & Handling a lot more than I thought I did!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE YKC?

The people you meet, the new friends you make, the great training methods & that you can meet people the same age as you & talk about the same things

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YKC MEMBERS NEW TO THE WORLD OF DOGS?

You will realise that you can't just have one dog! I look after my Beagle & another eleven to twelve Beagles but I love it so much

CAN YOU SHARE A FAVOURITE / FUNNY MEMORY OF YOUR DOG?

When I brought Greta the Beagle to my first weekend away with the YKC, we did Agility & she loved it, they do say Beagles don't really do well in Agility as they are not fast enough - well, I came home & got my little Princess, Lacey-Lou, to do the long jump & she cleared it by a mile. We are still working on the weaves & tunnel so let's hope she qualifies!

HOW HAS YOUR DOG MADE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY LIFE?

It's made me a lot happier now I have her, I love her so much, she means the world to me

WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG?

All over the place just so long as I get her out, she enjoys being anywhere with me

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

I love my little princess & I think joining the Young Kennel Club was a brilliant idea, I absolutely love it
