I've been a member since I was six years old

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU OWN?

At home I have ten dogs - five Whippets, Maddie, Peppa, DeeDee, Effy & Bernard! And five Dobermans, Frankie, Queenie, Gracey, Polo & Solo.

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN/COMPETED WITH IN YOUR DISCIPLINE(S)?

Well, I love handling allsorts of breeds and have had the pleasure of handling Whippets, Dobermans, Miniature Schnauzers, a Cavalier & a Basset Fauve de Bretagne plus a few others!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT DOGS?

They are like my brothers and sisters, loving caring and always there for you whether you're happy, sad, confused or angry! They always know how to make you feel better and are tons of fun!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE YKC?

Meeting new people & winning YKC National Show Handler of the Year 2006! It was such a huge thing to win, I've qualified and won it once and that's all I needed & wanted to do. It was such a memorable day and there were so many talented Handlers from around the UK, I didn't think I was even in with a chance!

And at Crufts 2009 I qualified for the YKC Hound Stakes with my Champion bitch, Supeta's Bootilicious Babe ShCM (who now has seven CC's, two RCC's and four BOB'S!) which she then went on to win and we got the chance to go into the main Best in Show ring, it was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to handle her so we didn't mind not winning as there were some beautiful dogs in that ring.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YKC MEMBERS NEW TO THE WORLD OF DOGS?

Enjoy it! At the end of the day it's all for fun and one day you will be too old for it. It's not about winning or losing, it's about taking part!

CAN YOU SHARE A FAVOURITE / FUNNY MEMORY OF YOUR DOG?

My Whippet puppy was asleep on the sofa and my mum called her to come over and the puppy had her tongue sticking out! It was hilarious and we were in stiches

HOW HAS YOUR DOG MADE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY LIFE?

I love having dogs at home, we've always had dogs, even when I was a little bump! If we didn't have dogs my life would be boring as they make everything interesting

WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG?

To my boyfriend's house, my Whippet's love his Cavalier puppy and they hare around in the garden together and love to get muddy

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

Just that I am really looking forward to showing my puppies and for them to meet many of you at Crufts next year!
