A new venue

The Kennel Club is delighted to announce that its International Agility Festival has found a new base at Kelmarsh Hall, Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire in order to accommodate the ever growing number of competitors and visitors who attend.

The Kennel Club International Agility Festival is one of the world’s largest and most popular dog agility events attracting thousands of competitors from throughout the UK and across the world.  The 2009 International Agility Festival will be held on 14–16 August 2009 and once again expects to host some 2,500 dogs of all types, sizes and experience levels amounting to over 18,000 class entries over the three days of the Festival.

A particular attraction of the annual festival is that it is open to any dog, as long as it is registered on one of the Kennel Club registers – Breed or Activity – making it the only world-class agility competition to be open to pedigrees, rescue dogs and crossbreeds alike. Everyone gets a chance to compete, and for the best there is the opportunity of securing a place at Crufts.  Competitors will again be bale to spend the weekend camping on site and over 20 trade stands are expected offering goods for both humans and dogs, all adding to the festival fun!

How to enter?

Schedules for the Festival will be available at Crufts each year and on the Kennel Club website from early March.  Further information can be obtained from Debbie Deuchar, Show Secretary, The Kennel Club, 1- 5 Clarges Street, Piccadilly, London W1J 8AB.
