| 10 April | Judging Workshop | 16-24 years | Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Near Coventry, Warwickshire, CV8 2LZ | The Introduction to Judging Workshop is returning to Stoneleigh and is available for members who would like to learn the basics of Judging dogs in breed competitions. The one day workshop is the perfect opportunity to help members to develop skills and confidence in the ring. |

| 12-13 May | London Pet Show | 6-24 years | Earls Court Two, London, SW5 9TA | On 12th and 13th May 2012, Earls Court Two will come alive with hundreds of animals as the Pet Show comes to London. The London Pet Show is a dynamic live event, packed full of hundreds of different breeds of animals, amazing live animal action displays and fun and informative talks and demonstrations. The Kennel Club host a ring at the event and this year the YKC will run a Jump with Rufus display, for visitors who would like to have a go! |
| 7 June | Newcomers Training Day (Pilot) | 6-24 years | Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Near Coventry, Warwickshire, CV8 2LZ | We are pleased to introduce a pilot Newcomers Day for Beginners which will be open to any members who have none or very little experience and want to try all the different activities with their dogs. There will be experienced trainers on hand to give help and advice and to show you how to get the best from your dogs. |

Our programme is packed with a huge range of activities and evening entertainment, so there is something for everyone. | 17-19 August (Please note this event has yet TBC) | Welsh Kennel Club Activity Weekend | 6-24 years | Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, LD2 3SY | Enjoy the beautiful countryside of Builth Wells and bring your dog along to the Welsh Kennel Club Activity Weekend. Rain or shine, all members have a fab time training their dogs in our own allocated YKC area and there are also Crufts qualifiers on offer. |
| 29 September | Judging Workshop | 16-24 years | Belfast Championship Show, The Kings Hall Complex Balmoral, Belfast, BT9 6GW | The Introduction to Judging Workshop will be visiting Belfast in 2012 and is the perfect opportunity for members who would like to learn the basics of Judging dogs in breed competitions. |
| 26-28 October | Newark Activity Weekend | 6-24 years | Newark Showground, Lincoln Road, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, NG24 2NY | This weekend is not to be missed with training throughout the three days and Crufts qualifying competitions make it one of the last chances to qualify in the year. Our brilliant organisers host social evenings on both Friday and Saturday for overnight campers with past evenings including fancy dress parties and pumpkin carving competitions! |
| 31 October | Careers with Dogs Day | 14-24 years | Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges Street, Piccadilly, London, W1J 8AB | Always dreamt about working with dogs? The Careers with Dogs Day is an educational day for members aged 14-24 years to find out more about various dog careers. This unique event gives members the opportunity to attend talks and speaks with professionals within a range of dog related careers. |
| 10-11 November | Discover Dogs | 6-24 years | Earls Court One, London, SW5 9TA | Discover Dogs is the biggest dog event in London, welcoming over 26,000 visitors and 3,000 dogs over the two days of the show and YKC members get FREE entry. The event provides a fantastic and unique opportunity for visitors to meet, greet and discover over 200 different breeds of dogs. The YKC has its own stand and ring with competitions open to all members, entry forms and details are available to members prior to the show. |
