I take part in Agility & am planning to compete in Grooming within the next year, I also take part in Companion dog shows

I have been a member for quite a few years now

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU OWN/SHOW?

I own two dogs; a West Highland White Terrier & a Working Sheepdog, however I only compete with the Westie

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN/COMPETED WITH IN YOUR DISCIPLINE(S)?

I have handled a few different breeds at companion shows including Siberian Huskies

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT DOGS?

The way they don't care about what's on the outside but focus on the personality of a person. My dogs make me laugh & always make me feel happier if i'm down etc. Their loyalty is also a major reason why I love dogs

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN THE YKC?

My most memorable moment would have to be the work experience I took out with the Kennel Club in the Summer of 2009 as it helped me discover the career I want to pursue in the future

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE YKC?

The opportunities they provide for each & every one of us, whether it's the Activity Weekends or Seminars. You name it & they will help you out as much as they possibly can

DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YKC MEMBERS NEW TO THE WORLD OF DOGS?

Don't take it too seriously, we all take the best dog home, no matter what placing we get. And enjoy it before it's too late

CAN YOU SHARE A FAVOURITE/FUNNY MEMORY OF YOUR DOG?

Walking through town once, my Westie had a Fox's glacier mint stuck to her face! It took ages to try & get it off!

HOW HAS YOUR DOG MADE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY LIFE?

They make us happier, we come through the front door & even if you've only been outside for ten seconds they are always extremely pleased to see us

WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG?

The open fields, the dogs love to just run around & chase the ball
