Junior Handling & Showing in Breed Classes
I have been a YKC member for about four years now
I own ten dogs: seven Cocker Spaniels called Holly, Misty, Patsy, Katie,
Lola, Cole & DJ & three Tibetan Terriers called Jasmine, Chance & Paris
I have shown lots of breeds such as Cocker Spaniels, Tibetan Terriers, Shar Pei's, Coton De Tulears, Cavaliers, Akitas, Standard Poodles & pugs!
The fact that they love you for who you are & they never judge you or complain. They are a loving & loyal companion that you can always trust & they always try to please you
Probably when I got a 3rd at Crufts in 2008 in YKC
Handling, it was my first time at Crufts & I was so pleased as there were so many talented young handlers around me. Another memorable moment was qualifying for National Show Handler of the Year
The fact that they are always very friendly & give you lots of good advice. You also get to make lots of new friends.
Probably the fact that no matter whether you win or lose, you always take the best dog home. Never take it too seriously & just have fun!!
It was my first show with my new puppy (Chance who is now one & a half) & he jumped up at the Judge when she was going over him on the table and knocked her glasses off! I couldn't stop laughing!
We have had dogs for as long as I can remember so I couldn't imagine life without them. They are part of the family, I pretty much go to a training class every day of the week & am always competing!
I live near woods so I always take my dogs for a long walk up in the woods. In the Summer I spend hours playing fetch with them
I have stewarded a few times & in a couple of years I hope to Judge both Breed classes & Junior Handling. I hope to see you all at Crufts!
