YKC Art Competition Returns In Time For Crufts

Talented Young Kennel Club members can combine their love of dogs with their passion for art as the annual Young Kennel Club Art Competition returns for the seventh year.
This year, whether their dogs are great companions, love to run and chase or work hard, YKC members will need to create a piece of artwork that reflects their dog’s personality or breed as the theme is ‘What was your dog born to do?’.
The competition has three age categories: 6-11 years, 12-16 years and 17-24 years. The entries in each category will be judged by a Young Kennel Club Panel and the winning pictures will be exhibited at Crufts 2015. Winners will also receive prize money and art supplies to help them develop their passion, and one overall winner will receive a year’s free membership of the Young Kennel Club.

Artist of the year competition. Create, send & win!

Our annual Children's Art Competition is now in its seventh year and is your chance to show off your artistic skills along with your love of dogs!

What was your dog born to do?

Every dog has a distinct personality and its own characteristics based on its breed so.... what type of dog do YOU own?  Is your dog a great companion that loves a cuddle like a toy breed? Does your dog love to run and chase like a hound? Or maybe your dog loves to work hard like the working group breeds. We welcome all dogs so if you own a crossbreed, draw or paint the breed traits your dog has! Now it’s your chance to create a piece of artwork that reflects your dog’s personality and breed. So get those pens/paints/crayons out and get drawing your dog (s).
