The Young Kennel Club is about helping young dog lovers learn new skills, build confidence and make new friends.  We welcome young dog fans between 6-24 years, with sections for Kids, Teens and Seniors. Anyone from children to young adults can join in the fun with or without a dog.

Ashleigh And Pudsey Send Dog Sports Soaring

Ashleigh and Pudsey’s Britain’s Got Talent win has inspired dog-lovers to hot-step it over to their local heelwork to music classes to see if they can be the next winning dancing duo.

Figures released from the Kennel Club’s Find A Dog Club website has shown that interest in activities such as heelwork to music and agility has increased by twenty percent since Ashleigh and Pudsey did their first audition in April, compared to the same period in 2011. More than five thousand people have searched for their local dog activity clubs in the last six weeks.

Kennel Club Celebrates Ashleigh And Pudsey Win

Young Kennel Club member Ashleigh Butler and her dog Pudsey have triumphed in the final of Britain’s Got Talent.

An ecstatic Ashleigh exclaimed: “Winning Britain’s Got Talent is a dream come true! Pudsey has been incredible throughout this whole experience, and I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else. Pudsey is my life and by winning Britain’s Got Talent, I feel all of our hard work has paid off. I would just like to thank everyone that has voted for us.  I am truly overwhelmed by all the support we have received.”

The YKC Activity Weekend Comes To Wales

An exciting weekend awaits young dog lovers as the Young Kennel Club (YKC) hosts its ever popular Activity Weekend in Builth Wells, Wales in August.

The Activity Weekend is perfect for newcomers and long standing YKC members alike who would like to brush up on their skills. Activities on offer include show handling and agility training and exciting Crufts qualifiers including grooming and obedience.

There is also a packed social calendar in the evenings including a BBQ on the Thursday night to kick off the activities, so come along and get fit and healthy whilst having fun and bonding with your dog.

Young Kennel Club Member Has Talent

In March, Young Kennel Club member Ashleigh Butler and her dog Pudsey won at Crufts. Now they are getting ready for the final of Britain’s Got Talent after winning over Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges as well as the voting public.

Ashleigh has been a member of the Young Kennel Club for nine years, and now her hard work and dedication is clear for all to see, as she qualified through to the finals of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent which take place this weekend.
